Chelsea duo the big winners at the WSL Awards

Chelsea star Beth England has been named Women's Super League Player of the Year whilst her boss Emma Hayes is the WSL Manager of the Year.

The pair were honoured at a virtual awards ceremony and crowned a successful season for the Blues which saw them become English champions and win the League Cup.

Arsenal striker Vivianne Miedema won the Golden Boot thanks to her 16 goals before the season was curtailed and Manchester City keeper Ellie Roebuck picked up the Golden Glove.

After accepting her award, Hayes said: "This trophy is about the whole group, so a big thank you to the players for stepping up another level and thanks once again to our fans for being the best in the world."

England added: "It is greatly appreciated and means a lot to me. I would like to dedicate the award to my team-mates. Without them, I wouldn't have been able to have the season I have had."
