England eyes European glory after extending Chelsea stay

Bethany England wants to concentrate on winning the Champions League after signing a new four-year contract at Chelsea.

The England star enjoyed an outstanding campaign in 2019-20, being named the Barclays Women's Super League Player of the Season having helped the Blues win both the league and the Continental Cup.

But the 26-year-old is thirsty for more trophies and is eyeing European glory following Chelsea's domestic success.

"I’ve got my first silverware in the bank with the Conti Cup and the league so I’m now hoping to get many more trophies at this club and obviously the Champions League is one that we’re really pushing for," England told chelseafc.com.

"I’m excited we’re back in it, I’m definitely going for my first Champions League goal as I’ve not had one of them yet. Hopefully this is going to be the year that we do bring that trophy home."
