Manchester United to finally land USA stars Heath and Press

Having watched their rivals pull off a number of spectacular signings in the build-up to the new season, Manchester United are poised to announce the arrival of USA stars Tobin Heath and Christen Press.

According to BBC Sport, the pair have agreed 12 month contracts, rather than a loan deal until the start of the new National Women's Soccer League season like fellow Americans Rose Lavelle and Sam Mewis at Manchester City.

This summer has seen an influx of players from the NWSL because of the long break between seasons. Wales star Jess Fishlock made her debut for Reading at the weekend and Lioness striker Rachel Daly has joined West Ham until January.

Both Heath and Press were part of the US national side which won consecutive World Cups in 2015 and 2019.
