Football Federation Australia and their kit manufacturer Nike have been left embarrassed after admitting the new Australian away kit will only be available in men's sizes.

The FFA had only recently celebrated winning the rights to host the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup alongside neighbours New Zealand.

When the oversight was pointed out on social media, the Matilda's official twitter account admitted only the home kit could be bought in women's sizes and the fault would not be rectified in the away kit until the next kit is released in 2022.

However, in a new statement the FFA now say they are working with Nike to rectify the issue: "The FFA understands & acknowledges the frustration regarding 2020 National Team away kits not being available in women’s silhouettes. The FFA is presently consulting with Nike and will provide a further update as soon as possible."
