Everton booked a trip to Wembley thanks to a 3-0 victory at Birmingham City in their Vitality Women's FA Cup semi-final.

Northern Ireland international Simone Magill opened the scoring just before half-time. Nicoline Sorensen scored the first goal since her move to Everton in the summer before French striker Valerie Gauvin completed the rout.

The Toffees reached their first final since 2014 and will face either holders Manchester City or 14-times winners Arsenal in the final on 1 November.

Manager Willie Kirk said: "It's a big thing for the club. We've never been to Wembley, although we've won FA Cups before and that's what we want to get back to.

"I think they were great. I thought they were very professional. The performance was not perfect, but obviously good enough."
