Allianz Premier 15s review: Saracens pushed hard in Wasps win

Saracens recorded a fifth-consecutive bonus point victory but had to survive a late Wasps fightbact to hold on for a 33-27 victory at Copthall Stadium. Two tries in the opening five minutes saw Saracens get off to a blistering start and a bonus point was secured before half-time.

Wasps rallied after the break and although they failed to complete the comeback, they did return to West London with both try and losing bonus points.

Harlequins joined Saracens in maintaining a perfect start to the campaign and improved their points difference to stay top of the Allianz Premier 15s table. Sale Sharks were the visitors to the Stoop and competed hard in torrid conditions. However, clinical finishing - particularly from Scottish international Chloe Rollie - proved the difference as Quins eased to a 31-0 victory.

Loughborough Lighting bounced back from defeat to Quins last week with a comfortable 20-8 win against Worcester Warriors, although they failed to collect a bonus point.

There was a second straight win for Exeter Chiefs as they adapt to a first season in the top flight. Their 31-6 victory against DMP Durham Sharks moved the Chiefs up to sixth in the table but the Sharks remain bottom of the pile and still await their first point.

Gloucester-Hartpury were too good for Westcountry rivals Bristol Bears, running out 28-3 winners.
