Chelsea welcome new investment

Not content with dominating on the pitch, Women's Super League champions Chelsea have announced a new bespoke sponsor, investment bank N+1 Singer, whose logo will appear on the players' shorts from this weekend.

It will be an encouragement to other clubs in the WSL that the Blues have been able to attract their own investment, rather than rely on existing club partnerships.

A club statement said: "Our three-year partnership is a further signal of the Club’s intent to continue breaking new ground in club sponsorship as we take on partners bespoke to the women’s team."

Chelsea chief executive Guy Laurence added: "We welcome the commitment of N+1 Singer to the women’s game and we share their ambition to see it grow exponentially on and off the pitch.

"With their philosophy that successful businesses are built on shared equity, we could not be happier that N+1 Singer will bring their ethos and support to Chelsea FC Women as we pursue our ever more ambitious sporting and commercial targets."
