We are all set to go for a relaunch of Women’s Sport Daily (WSD), a celebration of sporting achievements across the UK.

Our mission is very simple: we want to recognise the fantastic achievements of the players, coaches, backroom staff, volunteers and supporters who are helping to bring about a revolution in female sport.

There is so much talent at the top end of Women’s Sport and no competition is off the menu at WSD. We will cover stories in football, rugby, cricket, golf, tennis, netball, hockey, athletics, swimming, bowls, water sports, combat sports, and more. Whatever the sport, our aim is to showcase achievement and dedication to the craft.

However, WSD is not just about the elite athlete. There are so many fantastic stories at grassroots level, from the bowls legend dominating greens into her 90s or the golfer hitting her first hole-in-one to the young girl taking her first steps into competitive football and the teenager falling in love with cricket.

The force behind so many of these stories are the coaches, volunteers, parents, family members and friends, who all inspire an athlete to reach their potential and live out their sporting dreams.

Our social media channels are also live and set for the relaunch. Please see below for details.

We could go on forever about Women’s Sport in the UK, and we will. If you have a story that you want to share, contact our WSD team on editor@womenssportdaily.co.uk
