EFL in warning for women's football over lack of government support

The chairman of the English Football League has warned the government its continued lack of support for the sport - either through allowing fans back into grounds or providing suitable financial help in their absence - will lead to league clubs closing their women's teams permanently.

Aston Villa to share with Walsall in the Women's Super League

Newly-promoted Women's Super League side Aston Villa have reached a deal to share Walsall's Bank's Stadium for the next two seasons.

The ground has a capacity of 11,000, making it one of the biggest venues in the WSL. Walsall currently play in League Two.
