England stars extend stay at Lyon

England stars Lucy Bronze and Alex Greenwood are hopeful of completing the domestic season in France after agreeing contract extensions at Lyon until the end of August.

Their original deals were due to expire in June but they will now be able to play in the Women's Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich on Saturday 22 August as well as the semis and final should they progress.

The pair could potentially meet Arsenal in the last four if the Gunners get through against Paris St Germain. No date has been set yet for the resumption of the French league.

Bronze originally moved to Lyon in 2017 while Greenwood joined at the beginning of this season.
