England left to wait for tri-series confirmation
The England and Wales Cricket Board have repeated their desire for England's women to play against India and South Africa this summer but are not yet in a position to confirm the tri-series will go ahead.
England were due to play both India and South Africa in separate series this summer before international matches were postponed due to coronavirus. The plan is now for all three sides to compete in September but the ECB have yet to work through all the details.
“It must be reiterated that there is still much work for the ECB and the cricket network to do as we try to plot a path through this pandemic," said ECB chief executive Tom Harrison.
“Chief amongst our priorities is to build on our commitment to support and grow women’s cricket and at the elite level discussions continue to progress to determine the best and safest way to host a tri-series against India and South Africa."
