Arsenal's chances of European success this season have been boosted after UEFA announced their new summer signings will be eligible to play in the Champions League quarter-final against Paris St Germain in August.

Switzerland international Noelle Maritz became Arsenal's fourth summer signing, joining Steph Catley, Lydia Williams and Malin Gut at the club. Caitlin Foord, who moved to the Gunners in January, can also be considered for the tie which is being played in San Sebastian, Spain.

UEFA have confirmed teams will be able to register a maximum of six new eligible players ahead of the remaining Champions League games, provided teams do not exceed their registration limit of 25 players.

Players will not be cup-tied, although only a maximum of three players can have featured for one of the other sides in the last eight.

Arsenal take on PSG on Saturday 22 August at 7pm UK time. If they progress, they will face either Lyon or Bayern Munich in Bilbao on Wednesday 26 August. The Women's Champions League final is back in San Sebastian on Sunday 30 August.
