Katie Swan will join fellow British Fed Cup stars Heather Watson, Harriet Dart and Katie Boulter at this week's Progress Tour Women's Championships after being given a late wild card. She replaces Samantha Murray who has withdrawn through injury.

The 21-year-old will join Watson as well as Maia Lumsden and Alicia Barnett in Group Elena Baltacha in the round robin event. Dart and Boulter feature in Group Anne Keothavong alongside Jodie Burrage and Eden Silva.

"I'm so happy to be part of this showcase for British women's tennis and women's sport," said Swan. "It's going to feel good to be out there competing again."

The championships are the first opportunity for many of Britain's top women to compete since the Covid-19 lockdown started in March.
