Women's Super League Round-Up: Press, Heath and Greenwood all move to Manchester

Women's Sport Daily  the latest breaking news from the Barclays Women's Super League with the transfer window closing on Thursday:

Manchester United

Although expected, Manchester United have finally confirmed the signings of USA World Cup winners Tobin Heath and Christen Press. Both players have agreed one-year contracts. 

Heath moves from the Portland Thorns whilst Press has signed from Utah Royals. The pair were an integral part of the States team which won the Women's World Cup in both 2015 and 2019.

Manchester City

Following the arrival of Lucy Bronze from Lyon on Tuesday, City have captured another Lioness who was playing for the European champions.

Former United defender Alex Greenwood returns to Manchester following a single season in France. "I want to continue what Manchester City have done previously and that's to be successful and win trophies," Greenwood told BBC Sport.

"Once you get a taste of winning a trophy like the Champions League, which is the pinnacle, it's something that you crave. That feeling you have after you win is addictive."
