Farrant returns for England's tour of New Zealand

England have recalled bowler Tash Farrant for the first time since 2018 for the spring tour of New Zealand but both Anya Shrubsole and Katie George miss out through injury.

The squad are due to play three Twenty20 matches and three one-day-internationals in February and March.

Left-arm seamer Farrant last played for England against New Zealand in a home series back in 2018 before losing her central contract, having won five caps in limited-overs matches.

The injury to Shrubsole means Nat Sciver will act as vice-captain to Heather Knight for the trip down under.

Teenager Issy Wong will travel with the party as part of her continuing development but is not an official member of the squad.
