Jodie Burrage will represent Team GB for the first time in the Billie Jean King Cup tie against Mexico in April.
The young star came to prominance playing in the Battle of the Brits events in 2020 and comes into Anne Keothavong's side following the withdrawl of Johanna Konta.
Konta has been struggling with a knee injury and wants to concentrate on the European clay court season. The cup matches will be played on hard courts at the LTA Centre in Roehampton on the weekend of 16-17 April.
In the British No.1's absence, Heather Watson will lead Team GB, with Harriet Dart, Katie Swan and Katie Boulter also selected.
Victory over Mexico will give Great Britain a play-off place in February next year for the right to play in a new finals competition in April 2022.
