Watson and Dart out of Progress Tour Championships
Heather Watson and Harriet Dart are out of the Progress Tour Women's Championships through injury.

Top seed Watson suffered a foot injury last week while Dart has failed to recover from a groin injury.

"It has been getting worse and worse," Watson explained. "I have pain simply walking so I'm taking it very seriously.  I won't be playing tennis at all for at least the next three days and will see how it's healing.  It's such a shame because I was playing really well heading into this event and was excited to compete again."

Dart added: "I was really looking forward to competing again but unfortunately after training today I realised that I'm not quite ready due to a groin issue.  I hope everyone really enjoys the event and even though I can't play I'll definitely be watching on TV."

Freya Christie and Alice Gillan will replace Watson and Dart in the Premier Singles draw of the £30,000 tournament being held at the LTA's National Tennis Centre from 14-18 July.
