Following on from the success of his Battle of the Brits event for the country's top male tennis players, Grand Slam winning doubles star Jamie Murray has adapted the format for a mixed, Ryder Cup-style team event taking place at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton from 27 July to 2 August.

The Teams

A total of 26 players have been split into two teams - the Union Jacks and British Bulldogs. Jamie will be joined by brother Andy Murray for the Union Jacks, as well as Heather Watson, Jodie Burrage and the winner of the Progress Women's Tour Championships Katie Boulter.

British No.1 Johanna Konta is amongst the star names for the British Bulldogs, alongside Fed Cup teammate Harriet Dart and Kyle Edmund.

Union Jacks:

Heather Watson, Katie Boulter, Jodie Burrage, Naomi Broady, Alicia Barnett, Olivia Nicholls, Jan Choinski, Ryan Peniston, Anton Matusevich, Lloyd Glasspool, Dan Evans, Andy Murray, Jamie Murray

British Bulldogs:

Johanna Konta, Harriet Dart, Emma Raducanu, Maia Lumsden, Eden Silva, Beth Grey, Kyle Edmund, Cameron Norrie, Liam Broady, Aiden McHugh, Alastair Gray, Joe Salisbury, Dom Inglot

The Captains

The Union Jacks will be led by former Team GB Fed Cup captain Judy Murray and US Open finalist Greg Rusedski.

Current Fed Cup captain Anne Keothavong takes charge of the British Bulldogs alongside her Davis Cup counterpart Leon Smith.

The Format

There will be 60 matches across the week, each worth points to the teams' total. There are 119 points available overall, so the first team to 60 will be the winner. Points have been weighted across the week, from 13 available on the opening day to 29 on 'Super Sunday'.

Matches will be played in women's singles and doubles, men's singles and doubles as well as mixed doubles.

Every member of each team must play at least two matches during the week but cannot play in more than two matches on any given day. If someone does play twice in one day, it cannot be in the same format, ie, they have to play singles and doubles or doubles and mixed doubles.

Each match will be the best-of-three sets, with a 10-point match tie-break for contests tied at one set all.
