Konta finds form but Burrage and Murray lose at Battle of the Brits

Johanna Konta recovered from her defeat to Jodie Burrage on the opening day of the Battle of the Brits Team Tennis event to win her second singles match, beating Katie Boulter 2-6 7-6 10-6.

Maia Lumsden was the winner of Day 2's only other women's singles contest with a 5-7 6-4 10-7 victory over Alicia Barnett.

Burrage was back in action in the mixed doubles alongside Andy Murray. But the pair were beaten 4-6 6-4 10-8 by Emma Raducanu and Joe Salisbury.

Tournament organiser Jamie Murray showed his brother how to do it, teaming up with Olivia Nicholls to defeat Alastair Gray and Eden Silva 7-6 6-4.

In the women's doubles, Harriet Dart and Beth Grey were too strong for Heather Watson and Naomi Broady, winning 6-2 6-4.

In the overall team competition, Konta's victory helped the British Bulldogs pull into a commanding 18-8 lead against the Union Jacks after the first two days. The first team to 60 points will take the title.
