Battle of the Brits Day 5 Review: Burrage and Watson win again

Jodie Burrage and Heather Watson again showed they are in fine form at the Battle of the Brits Team Tennis event with further victories in the women's singles.

Burrage (pictured) beat Beth Grey 7-5, 6-0 while Watson won her fourth straight match, losing just one game on the way to a 6-1, 6-0 defeat of Maia Lumsden.

Naomi Broady was the winner of the day's other women's singles match but needed three sets to overcome Eden Silva 6-2, 4-6, 10-6.

Johanna Konta teamed up with Cam Norrie in the mixed doubles, beating Olivia Nicholls and event organiser Jamie Murray 6-4, 7-5.

Harriet Dart and Liam Broady also won their mixed doubles contest against Katie Boulter and Lloyd Glasspool 6-4, 6-4.

The British Bulldogs still lead the overall team competition by 41 points to 32 against the Union Jacks going into the weekend. 60 points are needed for overall victory.
